How We Help

We believe in the power of compassion, community, and collaboration.

HAPI's work is based on empathy for the people we serve, understanding that pet ownership is both a joy and a responsibility.

We offer a wide range of free services to help our community’s pet families, including:

  • Community events with free pet resources all in one place (supplies, grooming, vet care, and more)

  • Support for pet owners in transitional housing sites, better enabling housing nonprofits to allow pets with residents

  • Support for unhoused people with pets, including vaccinations and pathways to spay/neuter

  • Pet loss prevention including free microchipping, ID tags, and support for lost and found dogs and cats

  • Disease prevention and animal welfare through free dog and cat vaccinations, flea and dewormer medications, and assistance finding affordable or free vet care

  • Access to spay/neuter to help reduce shelter populations

Our work goes beyond just providing material goods. We are committed to building strong relationships with our community, helping families keep their pets in times of need, and ultimately making sure that pets and their humans stay together, regardless of their financial or social status.
